Advanced Wilderness First Aid (AWFA)

The AWFA course is an excellent starting point for serious recreational adventurers or those starting in the Outdoor Recreation/Education fields. Plenty of scenarios, CPR and a solid understanding of patient assessment sets you up for success.
This course will give you a solid grounding in patient assessment and many of the key topics in Wilderness First Aid.
With four days of practice and content, you will leave this course assessed to a high level and confident in your new skills.
Upon completion and assessment, you will be issued with an Advanced Wilderness First Aid (AWFA) Certification valid for three years, a CPR Certification valid for one year and a Statement of Attainment showing the units listed below.
During this course you will be critiqued on your performance during scenarios to ensure understanding of basic principles. There will be practical skills verification both in elements of Wilderness First Aid and CPR as well as a multiple choice exam to verify competence at this level.
