Leaders Wilderness First Aid (LWFA)

The LWFA is the perfect course for the outdoor professional, seen in Australia as the defacto standard for group leaders guiding extended programs in remote or wilderness areas.

The LWFA covers a broad range of subjects using WFAC's renowned scenario and pratical based learning styles to teach you well. You will get a solid grounding in patient assessment and treatment/evacuation principles.
Upon completion and assessment, you will be issued with a Leaders Wilderness First Aid (LWFA) Certification valid for three years, a CPR Certification valid for one year and a Statement of Attainment showing the units listed below. During this course you will be critiqued on your performance during scenarios to ensure understanding of basic principles. There will be practical skills verification both in elements of Wilderness First Aid and CPR as well as a multiple choice exam to verify competence at this level.
